"ROBBIE" MCCABE, 42, OF BARNEY STREET, WILKES-BARRE, DIED FRIDAY AT HIS HOME - Harold McCabe - August 30, 1996 - Harold L. "Robbie" McCabe, 42, of Barney Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at his homeBorn Sept. 22, 1954 in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of Mary Christopher McCabe, and the late Harold McCabe, Sr. He graduated from Coughlin High School in 1971 and was a life-long resident of the area. He was employed for more than 16 years as the assistant manager of the sporting goods department at the Boston Store and later Boscov's, Wilkes-Barre, and for the past year he was employed by Wegmans, Wilkes-Barre. He attended St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre; a life-member of the National Rifle Association, and its Golden Eagles; the North American Hunting Club; the Ruffed Grouse Society; a hunter-trapper educator for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia McCabe. Surviving in addition to his mother are a brother, Joseph C. McCabe, Presque Isle, Maine; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
