- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 27, 1920 Pulaski Democrat - Again death has entered our midst and taken from the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Butterworth, their little son, Earl, aged 12 years, 10 months. He was confined to his bed less than a week. He passed away Saturday evening at 6:30. His life was short but to those who knew him it was a life of sweetness. A smile for everybody and a pleasant word to all. Saturday afternoon he called his family to his bedside and told them of the beautiful city to which he was going and with a smile on his face asked them to meet him there. Much grief is felt in this place but we can only say that Jesus has taken one more lamb to his fold. A beautiful bud from earth has gone to a home beyond the sky to a mansion of light. Little Earl has gone where they never say good bye.
