Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 20, 1970 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - LeRoy Coffie Rites Today - LeRoy F. Coffie, 65 of Centerville Road, died at his home Tuesday, August 18. Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 o'clock at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Miller of the Pulaski Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Mr. Coffie was born August 9, 1905 at Ellisburg, son of Freeman and Cora Nutting Coffie. He attended Sandy Creek schools and was married on November 7, 1928 at Adams to the former Leila LaCelle. He was a farmer the Sandy Creek area, moving to his present home five years ago. He is survived by his wife, Leila Coffie; a son, LeRoy Coffie, Jr. of Warminster, Pennsylvania; four daughters, Mrs. Rita Martin of Altmar, Mrs. Lucretia Bailey of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mildred Nash of East Syracuse and Mrs. Barbara Dawley of Pulaski; 26 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Buck; a half-sister, Mrs. Rita Burdick both of Pulaski; and a half-brother, Gerald Christman of Fulton.
