- DERRY - John A. McCabe, 62, of Derry, formerly of Lynn, Mass., died May 3, 2011, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center after a brief illness.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he was the son of the late Eugene and Alice (Clemens) McCabe. He attended Lynn schools.
He lived in Lynn until moving to Derry six years ago. He attended the Trask Adult Day Care Center in Peabody and the Silverthorne Adult Care in Salem, N.H.
Mr. McCabe was a communicant of St. Mary Church. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed music, dancing and spending time with his family.
The family includes two sisters, Barbara Smith of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Kathleen Barker of Raymond and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours in the Parker Funeral Home, 35 Franklin St. Lynn, will be Friday, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be private.
