- Newspaper Obituary - March 20, 1997 Watertown Daily Times (NY) - DOROTHY D. COSIMENO LORRAINE NATIVE - Dorothy DeForest Cosimeno, 71, Rome, died Wednesday at her home. Mrs. Cosimeno worked at Goldpack Co., Oneida, retiring in 1986. Previously, she had worked at White Laundry, Rome, for several years. Born Dec. 4, 1925, in the town of Lorraine, daughter of Earl and Fannie Plumley DeForest, she attended Lorraine district and Sandy Creek schools. She married Joseph Cosimeno on Jan. 25, 1945, in Rome. Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. John (Olga) Miller, Adams; three sons, Joseph A., Cleveland, Michael A. and Duane J., both of Rome; a sister, Eudocia Stewart, San Angelo, Texas; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Nicholas E., a brother, Chalkley DeForest, and six sisters, Helen Myers, Alice Johnson, Irene Elsten, Ruth Darrow, Ina DeForest and Gladys DeForest, died before her. The funeral will be private. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Rome. There will be no calling hours.
