Wife of William Clarence Martin (married February 18, 1950 at Sandy Creek, New York; divorced September 11, 1973) & Raymond Francis Brennan (married May 26, 1976 in Richland Township, New York.) [Note: William Martin died September 10, 2013 at Syracuse, New York; William is buried in Richland Cemetery at Richland, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, April 8, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Reta M. Brennan, General Electric Employee - Reta M. Brennan, 69, of Route 104B, Mexico, formerly of Sandy Creek, died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. Mrs. Brennan worked at General Electric, Syracuse, for several years. She also worked at Spy Island convenience store, Texas, New York. Born July 25, 1930, at Benton Harbor, Michigan, daughter of Leroy and Lila LaCelle Coffie, she attended Pulaski schools and had lived in Altmar and Sandy Creek before moving to Mexico in 1985. Her husband, Raymond Brennan, died in 1983. A previous marriage to William Martin ended in divorce. Surviving are six sons, William Martin, Richland, James Martin, Oswego, Robert Martin, Sandy Creek, Rickey Martin, Volney, David Martin, Syracuse, and Clarence Martin, Mexico; two daughters, Sally Brooks, Mexico, and Linda Trumble, Cato; three sisters, Lucretia Bailey, Franklin, North Carolina, Mildred Mantor, Altmar, and Barbara Layman, Richland; a brother, Leroy Coffie Jr., Altmar; eight stepchildren; 33 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A daughter, Cathy Martin, died in 1959. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
