Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 3, 1973 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Wilfred J. Martin, 61, Dies in House of the Good Samaritan Hospital - Wilfred J. Martin, 61, of Richland died December 28 in the House of the Good Samaritan where he had been a patient one month. He was born August 19, 1911, at Scotia, New York the son of Albert and Elmyra Lacombe Martin. He attended school at Scotia, New York. He was married to Francis Southwell December 30, 1930 at the Baptist Church in Watertown, New York. He was employed at Camp Drum and the Rome Airport, as a carpenter and for the last few years for the Perlet Bros, in Richland. He was also caretaker for the Richland Cemetery for many years. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Doris Rogers of Richland, Mrs. Nettie Rose of Parish, New York, eight grandchildren, two sisters; Mrs. Viola Germain of Ashly, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Mary Cabigting of Ashaway, Rhode Island; three brothers, Edward and Clifford Martin of Rousses Point, Phillip Martin of Ausable Forks. Funeral services, December 31, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Rev. James Bruinsma of the Vorea Community Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Richland.
