  • Notes 
    • Catherine left England and came to the US in June 1880 with five of her six children (Emma, Harry, Katie, Edward and George). Her son William stayed in Cornwall with his father Henry. I believe she settled in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. I also believe that she married John Edwards (born 1841) and started going by the name Emma Edwards. The Wilkes-Barre Times reports her death in 1917 and the settlement of her estate in 1919. Those articles list her children as Mrs. Emma Setien, Harry Armitage, William Armitage, George Armitage and Edward Armitage.
