Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, June 14, 1922 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Meacham District - Peter Martin died June 761 at his home in this distinct after a few days illness, although he had been in poor health for a long time. His funeral was held last Saturday at 2 o'clock, at his home. Interment was in Richland.

Newspaper Article - Thursday, October 3, 1889 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Parish - A very unhappy lawsuit has been avoided here, and this is the sequel. Married, at Parish, September 27, 1889, by W. George Baxter, Esq., Peter Martin, of Richland, to Miss Mmnie Kent, of Parish. Miss Kent has been Martin's housekeeper for some time. May their life's journey been pleasant.
Newspaper Article - Wednesday, April 13, 1898 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Court News - As we closed our court news last week the case of Cora M. Douglas against the Northern Central Railway Company was being tried. The case was completed on Wednesday and a verdict of $5,750 was brought in the favor of the plaintiff. This was the largest verdict ever given a plaintiff in a trial at this courthouse. Mrs. Douglas sued for $25,000 for the death of her husband who was an R. W. & O. brakeman and was killed at Wallington by a Northern Central train, two years ago. It is thought that the railroad company will not appeal. - Justice Scripture granted Carrie E. Shultz an absolute divorce from her husband, Frank M. Shultz. N. B. Smith appeared for the plaintiff Julius Sparks was granted a divorce from his wife, Ida Sparks. John Breston was the plaintiff's attorney. - Peter Martin was indicted on a charge of bigamy. He also pleaded not guilty. Martin is a well-known horseman and if the allegations made are true has had many matrimonial experiences. He was first married several years ago to Minnie Kent, on the town line of Parish and Amboy. It is now alleged that he married a young woman at South Richland and has two other wives living elsewhere. - Alfred L. Dingman indicted for bigamy. He married his present wife in Camden, Oneida County, but it is charged that he has others living, how many it is not known.
