    • Newspaper Obituary - January 18, 1934 Wilkes Barre Record - Mrs. George Armitage, 56, Plymouth, Dies - Mrs. George C. Armitage, 56, 124 East Main Street, Plymouth, died yesterday morning at 1:15 in General Hospital following 3 weeks illness. She was admitted Friday to the hospital. Mrs. Armitage was the wife of George Armitage, proprietor of Armitage's Hardware of Plymouth. She had been a resident of Plymouth for more than 30 years, coming there from Ashley, where she was born, upon being married, She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the high regards of many friends. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ella Albert, her husband, and these children: Mrs. P. F. Armitage of Wilkes-Barre, Mrs. Earl Walizer of Wilkes Barre, Albert and Elwood at home, Mrs. Catherine Murphy of Philadelphia and George Armitage Jr., of Harvey's Lake. The funeral will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 with Rev. Clarence H. Russell of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
