- ONEIDA >> Mary E. Moyer, 84, of Upper Lenox Avenue, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, in her home.
Born in Canastota on Sept. 22, 1930, she was the daughter of James and Alferda Gerber Caldwell. Mary lived in the Oneida area for most of her life and graduated from Watertown High School. She married Norman R. Moyer on June 9, 1951 in Oneida. Mr. Moyer passed away on April 4, 2006.
Mary had previously been employed with both the Oneida Daily Dispatch and the Extended Care Facility for a short period of time. She was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Kevin Miller of Peterboro; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas J. Moyer and Scott D. and Patti Moyer, all of Oneida; one sister and brother-in-law, Teddy and Bob Meyer of Mechanicsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Caldwell of Indiantown, Fla., Jim and Gerry Caldwell of Canastota, and Raymond and Sandy Caldwell of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Nancy C. Fratini, on Dec. 30, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, with the Rev. Brian Fellows officiating. Interment will be made in Sunnyside Cemetery.
