      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, December 11, 2006 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Sherwood F. Groff, 74, Pulaski, died Saturday at Mercy of Northern New York. Mr. Groff was employed by Robert Weaver Construction Co. for many years, retiring in 1990. He resided in Mexico for several years, moving to Pulaski in 1998. Born January 28, 1932, in Adams, son of Arthur and Dora Lucas Groff, he attended Adams High School and served in the Air Force for two years. He married Betty Joan Rice on October 17, 1953, at First Methodist Church, Adams, with the Rev. C.E. Cahoon officiating. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Sherwood, Parish, and Scott, Pulaski; three daughters, Kathy Hazlewood, Auburn, Karen Bolster, Williamstown, and Lisa Mulvaney, Camden; three sisters, Shirley Barney, Mannsville, Ester Sutliff, Massachusetts, and Cynthia Trevett, Virginia; a brother, Carl Groff, Copenhagen; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
