- Newspaper Obituary - Saturday August 7, 1937 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski August 7 - Residents of Pulaski and vicinity were saddened Friday night by news of the death of Miss Marion Elizabeth Wilder, 15, at 10 p.m. in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. The girl, who was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Wilder, Pulaski-Watertown Road, underwent a stomach operation in the hospital several days ago. After receiving blood transfusions she seemed to improve, and was believed to be recovering until she suddenly took a turn for the worse Friday. Miss Wilder was born at the family home three miles north of Pulaski on September 18, 1921 and had always lived here. She was to have started her junior year at Pulaski Academy this fall. She was active in athletics at the school being a member of the volley ball and basketball teams and was popular among the students and in her neighborhood. She attended Sandy Creek Methodist Episcopal Church. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Wilder; five brothers, John of Sandy Creek and Thomas Jr., Charles, Robert and Lemuel Wilder all of Pulaski, and four sisters, Mrs. Florence Montondo, Mrs. Helen Grinell, Mrs. Betty Thomas and Miss Geraldine Wilder, all of Pulaski. Funeral services will be at the home Monday afternoon with the Rev. W. S. Dobble of Sandy Creek Methodist church officiating and burial in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek.
