    • Newspaper Obituary - Monday July 8, 1974 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Mexico - Forrest E. Meeks, 63, of Ames Street, died Saturday evening at Rosewell Park Memorial Institute, Buffalo. Formerly of Black River, Mr. Meeks had resided in Mexico most of his life. He was a carpenter prior to his retirement and was a member of Local 747 of Oswego. He was a member of the Mexico Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, the former Zirita Bloodgood; three sons, Forrest Jr., Richard A. and Daniel J. all of Mexico; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Avery of Phoenix, Mrs. Richard Donovan of Bridgeport and Mrs. Thomas Greer of Mexico; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Barry of Granby Center; and two brothers, Leon of Mexico and Richard of Fulton. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harter Olmstead Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mexico Village Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
