    • Archie Presley
      SANDY CREEK-Archie Presley, 74, town of Boylston, died Saturday, Aug. 8, at his home from a heart ailment. His funeral was held Monday after noon at Weston Woodard funeral home here. Rev. Adelbert Edwards, pastor of Altmar church, Pine Meadows Rd., officiated. Burial was in Wesleyan cemetery.

      Mr. Presley was survived by his wife;, Blanche Briggs Presley; a son, Lyle Presley of Lacona; two brothers, Willett Presley and Raymond Presley, both of Lacona; a sister, Mrs.
      Goldie Hallett of Watertown and six grandchildren.

      Mr. Presley was born at town of Boylston Oct. 4, 1889, a son of Benjamin and Martha Briggs Presley. He married Blanche Borden Dec. 12, 1914, and spent most of his life in the town of Boylston and Sandy Creek, having been a farmer and in the early 1926 was a sailor on the Great Lakes, being a fireman in that line.
