      Frederick Harrison Tryon born to Herman and Lillian Tryon in Syracuse on July 24,1942, passed peacefully in his sleep at Samaritan Medical Center on August 25, 2022.

      Fred was raised and lived most of his life in Boylston, NY. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1961and served until 1967 earning the rank of EN3. After returning from service he worked as a mechanic for a number of garages over the years. Fred and his wife also ran a food truck, "Tryon's Chuck Wagon", for skiers and snowmobilers at the Boylston Trail Head.

      Fred is survived by his wife Carol (Snyder), stepson Philip "Tony" (Tammy) Gioia, stepdaughter Ann (Steven) Bechler, and daughter Lillian (James) Stinson, his grandchildren Christy Vobruba, Tiffany Greeney, Dominica (Ken) Brown, LuCinda (Jospeh) Richardson, Marcus (Christy) Gioia, Veronica Vobruba, Bishop Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Shyanna Phillips, and Xander Gioia, many step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

      Fred was a gentle and quiet man loved by all who knew him.

      A celebration of life will be held Saturday September 3, 2022 at his wife's residence in Rodman at 1 o'clock.
