      Obituary

      Obituary of Susan Marie Patti
Susan Marie Patti, 69, of Orr St. Ext, Jamestown, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Mother's Day, Sunday, May11, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.

An area resident for most of her life, she was born February 14, 1945 in Maywood, CA, a daughter of the late Joseph Mordino and the late Ann Polizzi Leone.

She was a graduate of Dunkirk High School and graduated from beauty school in Buffalo, NY. She had owned and operated her own beauty shop on Fairmount Ave. for over 20 years. She enjoyed cutting and styling hair for all her customers. In most recent years, she joined her husband as a partner at Store-n-Lock on Livingston Ave.

Susan loved to be at home and always welcomed everyone that visited with coffee and good conversation. She also had a "green thumb" and loved tending to her house plants. Crocheting was one of her favorite pastimes. She was very talented and completed many beautiful projects. She possessed a unique sense of humor and had the uncanny ability to predict all types of weather. Prior to any storms, she would inform all family members of the blizzard that would be coming, but just to start a conversation that would last for hours. Her favorite words were, family, "time for dinner", "O my God they're beautiful"' and "wait till your father gets home".

She will be forever remembered by her family as an extraordinary woman whose love and devotion was unending. Most of all she loved to be with her family. Her life was centered around her family and she was happiest when her home was filled with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, George A. Patti, Jr. whom she married January 29, 1966, two sons; George A. (Kelly) Patti, III, Ryan R. (Danielle) Patti both of Jamestown, a daughter; Michelle Patti of New York City, five grandchildren, Victoria Patti, Harrison Patti, Ethan Patti, Ava Patti and Gia Bella Patti who will miss their "Nana" deeply and will always know the depth of her love for them.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father Russell Leone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor will be celebrant. Entombment will be the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua County, 20 West Fairmount Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750 or to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm and Carlton St. Buffalo, NY 14263.
