    • Online Obituary - Cathy E. Manwaring - Cathy E. Manwaring, 65, of Mexico, passed away Aug. 30 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Born Oct. 31, 1948 in Lacona, daughter of the late Warren and Vivian Weaver Chatterton. Raised in Sandy Creek-Lacona area. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School. Married to Robert "Bob" Manwaring in Sandy Creek. She was employed as a secretary for Judge Thomas Aloi in Syracuse. Cathy and her husband owned and operated Grampa Bob's Animal Park until retiring. Survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert "Bob" Manwaring, a son Ryan Manwaring of Mexico, five stepchildren, Donna (John) Darling of Pulaski, Nancy (James) Fowler of Mexico, Darryl Manwaring of Tennessee, James (Rhonda) Manwaring of Mexico, Allen Manwaring of Mexico, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, a sister, Sally Shepard of Sandy Creek, a brother Keith (Noreen) Chatterton of Lacona and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Roger Chatterton. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 6 at Summerville Funeral Home in Sandy Creek with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek.
