Newspaper Obituary - Monday, January 23, 2012 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Dorothy E. Abel - Dorothy E. Abel, 82, resident of Orwell since 1998 and previously of Liverpool, passed away Friday. She was born on April 19, 1929, in Syracuse. Dorothy married August Abel on June 10, 1950; he passed away on October 13, 2007. Surviving two daughters, Christine (Dale) Delamater of Orwell and Marjorie (Robert) Spoto of Pulaski; one son, August (Cheryl) Abel Jr. of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by one son, John Abel. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m., prior to the funeral.
