      Newspaper Obituary - December 4, 2011 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - John R. Wing, 64, of County Route 2, Richland, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 1, 2011. He was born July 6, 1947, a son of the late Harold and Helen Wing. A lifelong Richland resident, he was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. He was co-owner of Sancona Builders Supply in Sandy Creek prior to his retirement in February 2010. Surviving are his wife, Karen, his son, John P. (Earl) Wing, his daughter, Jennifer (David) Ling, and his step-son, Colin (Megean) Driskell; step-mother, Beulah Wing, a brother, C. James (Margaret) Wing, and his sisters, Lucy (Robert) Larkins of Copenhagen, Maggie (Larry) Sandstrom of Bostic, North Carolina, and Carolyn (Bert) Cowan, of Sandy Creek, and a grandson, several step-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. John served in the Army Reserve for 29 years and was an avid wood worker and airplane builder. A private pilot since the late 1970's, John was a member of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Chapters #362 and #486 in Fulton, the Richland Pilots Association and Sandy Creek Masonic Lodge #564. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, from the Summerville Funeral Home on Harwood Drive, Sandy Creek, followed by interment in Richland Cemetery, Richland. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.
