Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, August 26, 2000 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Anna M. Whaley, Sealright Retiree - Anna M. Whaley, 82, Springbrook Apartments, Pulaski, died Wednesday at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, Florida. She was employed by Sealright Company, for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Previously she had worked for Taggart Paper Mill and St. Regis Paper Mill, both of Oswego. Born May 13, 1918, in Lambs Corners, town of Mexico, daughter of Bertie and Lydia Filkins Nichols, she attended Grafton Square School in the Mexico School District. She married Delbert P. Whaley on July 22, 1935, at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage in Mexico, with the Rev. Harold H. Barnard officiating. Mr_ Whaley died August 11, 1965. She was a member of Pulaski Grange 730 and Boylston Wesleyan Church. Surviving are a son, Donald P. Whaley, Sandy Creek; two daughters, Betty Ann McConnell, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jean M. Poole, Pulaski; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great¬grandchildren. The funeral was scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours were Friday at the funeral home.
