- Newspaper Obituary - October 10, 1935 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Clarence Blount - Clarence Blount, 56, brother of Ralph Blount of Lacona, and nephew of Andrew Blount, also of Lacona, died following a stroke at Marcy state hospital Monday night, Oct. 7, 1935, where he had been a patient for six weeks. Mr. Blount was the son of Wm. D. and Julia Trumbull Blount and had lived in Pulaski for many years. He was born Aug. 9, 1879, and was a member of the Adventist church and of Pulaski Grange 730, Patrons of Husbandry. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Harold Williams of Central Square, and Mrs. J. Henry Cline of Hildebrand, N.C., George Blount of Harrison, Va., and Roy Blount of South Lancaster, Mass.; three grandchildren, James and Shirley May Williams and Earl Cline; one brother, Ralph Blount of Lacona, an adopted sister, Mrs. Floyd Rhymie of Maple View and an Uncle Andrew Blount, of Lacona. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon in the Adventist church, south of Pulaski, with Rev. Sidney R. Rittenhouse of Syracuse, officiating.
