Darlene E. Haywood, 62, of Altmar, passed away at home Thursday, April 28, with her loving family by her side. She was born to the late Irving and Doris Whaley on July 16, 1948. Darlene was a life resident of the Richland and Altmar area. She worked for McAuliffe Paper Company in Liverpool for 28 years.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gene P. Haywood; three daughters, Kelly (Wayne) Kaminsky of Altmar, Cathy (Skip) Trumble of Orwell, Gwen Lyons (Tim Scott) of Altmar; and a son, Brian Haywood of Altmar; five grandchildren, Erin and Alex Mills, Rodney Trumble, Jessica Lyons, Emily Haywood; one great-grandson, Tyler Trumble; and one great-granddaughter, Riley Lyons; three sisters, Wanda Whaley, Cricket Maitland and Denise Shaw, all of Richland; one brother, Robert Whaley of Oswego; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Lyons, in 2003. She will be sadly missed by everyone.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
