Audra N. Mooney, age 79, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday at University Hospital, Syracuse. Audra was born December 7, 1931 in Pulaski, the daughter of Archie W. and Inez Crouse Neill. She graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1950. Audra married Merrill Mooney on June 30, 1950. She was employed by Pulaski Central School for 12 years, retiring in 1992. Audra was a member of the Pulaski Grange, the Home Bureau and a former 4-H Leader. Surviving: her husband, Merrill; one son, Doug (Peggy) Mooney of Jamesville; two daughters, Marleen (Marty) Griffith of Pulaski, and Sue (Doug) Haynes of Pulaski; two brothers, Russell and Archie Neill both of Pulaski; two sisters, April Walker of Pulaski, and Nancy Weisenberger of Rome; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Audra was predeceased by one sister, Marge Fox, and one grandson, Joseph Mooney. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with a spring burial in South Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski. Donations may be made to March of Dimes, CNY Division, 5 Adler Drive, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

[Farmer District, Oswego County] Archie (we call him Archibald, for short) and Inez Crouse were working for us about nine years ago, when they first "met." They were soon married and have lived in the office building ever since. The children were born there, Audra 8, Nancy 7, and Margie 5, and all were helped into this world by Dr. Dunbar. Neither the children nor their parents have ever lived anywhere else since they took up residence here...
