Newspaper Obituary - October 6, 1999 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Doris M. Whaley Lifelong Richland Resident - Doris M. Whaley, 80, of 9 Beulah Drive, died Tuesday at Sunrise Nursing Home, Oswego. Mrs. Whaley was a life resident of Richland. She worked at C&M Restaurant, Pulaski, General Electric Co., Syracuse, and Richland Box Factory. Born December 12, 1918, in Richland, the daughter of Channie and Olive Smith Joyner, she attended Richland schools. She married Irving E. ’’Dudes" Whaley on November 5, 1938. Mr. Whaley, a New York Central Railroad retiree, died September 25, 1997. Surviving are four daughters, Wanda J. Whaley, Gloria "Crickett" Maitland and Denise M. Shaw, all of Richland, and Darlene E. Haywood, Altmar; a son, Robert I., Richland; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. ^ Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
