Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 7, 2010 Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - John A. Abel - John A. Abel, 54, a resident of Syracuse, passed away September 23, 2010. Surviving: his mother, Dorothy Abel of Watertown; one brother, August (Cheryl) Abel Jr.; two sisters, Christine (Dale) Delamater of Orwell, and Marjorie (Robert) Spoto of Pulaski; several nieces and nephews, and close friends, Kathleen Miller and Paul Harris, both of Syracuse. John was predeceased by his father, August Abel Sr. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, 386 Pine Meadows Road, Altmar. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
