    • Newspaper Obituary - December 22, 1966 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Ralph W. Blount Dies at Age 85 - Ralph W. Blount, 85, died Dec. 19, 1966 in the Evergreen Nursing Home, Watertown. His funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home, Pulaski. Dr. Virgil Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Sandy Creek. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Mr. Blount was born April 23, 1881 in Orwell. He was the son of William and Julie Trumbull Blount. Until retirement, he was employed by the Blount Lumber Company. He was married June 27, 1915 to Miss Chloe Phillips. She survives, with three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Snyder, Rome. Mrs. Walter (Anne) Vextor, Pulaski; Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Kehoe, Barlow, Fla.; two sons, Lynn V. Blount, Sandy Creek, and Richard W. Blount, Rome; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
