    • Newspaper Obituary - February 17, 1927 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - William D. Blount - Elder Davies of Syracuse, pastor of a Seventh Day Advent church in that city, conducted last rites Wednesday afternoon for William D. Blount at his home on the Rome road, several miles east of Pulaski. The body was placed in the receiving vault at Pulaski Cemetery and in the spring burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery at Orwell. The death of Mr. Blount occurred at his home Friday following a short illness. He was born May 1, 1852, in the town of Orwell and had passed practically his entire life in this section of Oswego County and had for many years been engaged in farming in the eastern section of Oswego County. Mr. Blount was a member of the Seventh Day Church situated on the Syracuse Watertown state highway and about three miles south of Pulaski. He had always been active in work of the church. He was one of the best known residents of the eastern section of Oswego County. His wife died a number of years ago. Surviving are two sons, Ralph W. Blount of Richland and Clarence A. Blount of Appalachia, Va., two brothers, George R. Blount and Andrew T. Blount, both of Lacona, and two sisters, Miss Sarah M Blount of Batavia, and Mrs. A. G. Smith of Spokane, Washington.
