- Betty Jane Carmel Snell Bergman, at the age of 95, departed her loving family on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born on July 16, 1926, in Watertown, NY to the late Charles E. and Catherine A.
Snell, Painter/Violin maker, and housewife.
In June of 1946, Betty married the love of her life, the late Charles Bergman, Specialty Carpenter, whom she lovingly called "Teddy." Their love for each other and 45-year marriage was strong and ever growing.
Betty was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She found her greatest joy in being with her seven children and her many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was an antique dealer and small business owner, running an antique shop she named "The Ole Antique Shop". She was an avid reader, cat lover and doll collector. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She truly cherished her family and friends. Betty was a devote Catholic. Her love for God and her faith shown in everything she did. She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish in Pulaski.
Betty is survived by her sister, Ann Wilgus of Florida, and her children: Charles & Pam Bergman of Florida, Bob Bergman of Syracuse, Catherine & Sidney of South Carolina, Ron & Cathy Bergman of Baldwinsville, Susan & Bob Fantom of Altmar and Dan & Charlotte Bergman of Pulaski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary Bergman, her loving husband Teddy, and her brother Charles Snell. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services and burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Rome Road/Route 13, Pulaski, NY on Friday May 6th at 2:30 pm. with Summerville Funeral Home.
