    • Thomas French, m. Polly Bull. Polly was born in Lewis, NY 1805 [12]. Polly was the daughter of Abraham Bull Jr. and Abigail Lake. Abraham Bull was b. 1768 in Dutchess County, NY, and married Abigail Lake before 1790 in Dover Plains, Dutchess, NY. He was the son of Abraham Bull and Abigail Payne. Thomas French’s father married Desire Bull; the Bull family was from Dover Plains, Dutchess, NY.
      Perhaps Thomas was b. 1814 in NY, white, single, a carpenter, age 73 when he died on 28 May 1887 in Polk County, Iowa. He appears in the 1880 census of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, stating he was born in 1814, was single, living alone, a carpenter, and that both his parents were born in Massachusetts which is true. In the 1860 census of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, he states he was born in 1810 in NY, age 50, a carpenter, living with many others both male and female. Not sure if Thomas had heirs.
