    • Pearl Lombard - April 12, 1875 - November 18, 1926. Son of Albert and Lora French Lombard.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 24, 1926 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Another Victim of Railroad Accident at May Crossing - Within a range of years which most people in Pulaski remember there have been three deaths by the cars running over someone at what is known as May crossing, two miles east of Pulaski on the Centerville road. The farthest back was the death of Seymour Smith of Albion, later the tragic death of Marion B. Look of Pulaski, and now Pearl Lombard has just been killed by an engine on that New York Central railroad line from Richland to Pulaski. Mr. Lombard had been, at the home of J. A. Frary to see about insurance on his buildings in the town of Albion. Mr. and Mrs. Frary drove away and Mr. Lombard was getting out of their yard when it appeared to Mr. Frary that he had trouble by getting in the soft ground. Mr. Frary did not wait for him but came to Pulaski and soon after he had reached the village he was shocked to hear that Mr. Lombard had been hit by an extra engine that was coming out from Richland to Pulaski. It was discovered first by Hugh Whitney, living near the crossing, that Mr. Lombard and his truck were picked up and carried some distance toward the railroad bridge over Salmon river. The man was unconscious when found. His car was a total wreck. He was taken to Ideal Rest Hospital by direction of Dr. A. G. Dunbar, where he died Friday morning, never recovering consciousness. The remains were taken to the undertaking rooms of Paul K. Foster and later removed to the home in Albion. Funeral services were held there Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. H. Scott of Pulaski. Mr. Lombard was the son of the late Albert Lombard, a veteran of the Civil War. He was born on the farm where he spent his life, April 12, 1876. He was a member of Pulaski Grange and was an industrious, honest farmer and dwelt alone since the death of his parents. Burial was made in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Rome Road. He is survived by no immediate relatives except a niece, Lora Goodness of Hamilton, New York.
