    • Newspaper Obituary - June 28, 1976 Syracuse Post Standard - Mrs. Maines Dies; Car Accident Victimi - Mrs. Ethal Maines, 84, of 300 S. Midler Ave., died yesterday at Oswego Hospital of injuries suffered May 31 in a two car accident in the Oswego County Town of Mexico. Mrs. Maines reportedly sustained fractures of both legs and internal injuries in the accident on County Route 58, which also claimed the life of David Smithers, 20, of Central Square. She was born in Syracuse and was the widow of Roy Maines. Mrs. Maines was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church and the Onondaga Chapter 144 OES. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Warren Bruce of Stuart, Fla.; two nieces, Mrs. Frank Wolfe of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Harold Cleary of Miami, Fla. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Goddard and Crandall Funeral Home, 3111 James St., the Rev. Dr. Ronald Vallet officiating. Burial will be in Fayetteville Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
