    • Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, June 4, 1940 Syracuse Herald Journal - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Ada C. Stewart - The body of Mrs. Ada Crofoot Stewart, 71, wife of Lemuel Stewart and a former resident of Syracuse, who died Monday at her winter home in Stuart, Fla., will be brought to Syracuse for funeral services. Rites will be conducted at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy H. Maines, 300 South Midler Avenue, at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Fayetteville. Mrs. Stewart was born in Fayetteville and had lived in Syracuse for 52 years before moving to Stuart. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversity Feb. 14, 1939, in Stuart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Syracuse and of its Kings Daughter's Society. Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Warren A. Bruce of Cortland; a sister, Mrs. H. H. Prickett of St. Petersburg, Fla., and a grandchild.
