    • Edward A. Delaney, of Pulaski, NY, passed away peacefully after a long illness December 30, 2023. Ed was born in Auburn, NY on June 21,1944, the son of Raymond and Rita Bishop Delaney. He graduated from West High School in 1963 and attended Auburn Community College before joining the army. Ed worked for P&C Food Markets for over 20 years, before working as a Nuclear Operator at Nine Mile II where he retired from in December of 2006.

      Over his years in Pulaski, Ed volunteered for, and was a member of, several community organizations including the American Legion, the Lions Club, the Masons, and the Shriners. He also served as past President and Treasurer of the Ringgold Fire Department and was past President of Pulaski Little League. Ed also served as the Mayor of Pulaski from 1997 to 2008.

      Ed is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elaine Heilig Delaney of Pulaski, sons Michael Delaney (Jennifer) of Pulaski, Thomas Delaney (Samantha Schapley) of Hastings, and granddaughters Emily, Grace & Kennedy Delaney and grandson Mason Delaney. Also survived by his sister Margaret LoPiccolo of Camillus, and several nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his sister Rosemary Delaney.

      Calling hours will be held Friday, January 5th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Foster Hax Funeral Home at 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY. A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church at 23 Niagara Street, Pulaski, NY, with Rev. Msgr. Francis Osei Nyarko officiating.
