      Jay S. Smith, age 57, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Jay was born February 14, 1966, in Oswego, the son of David and Betty Scott Smith. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1985. Jay was married to his wife, Michele Gabriel Smith on September 2, 2000. He was employed by BonTon Glass in Syracuse, as a glazer for 20 years. He also owned and operated The Lawnsmith, a landscaping business, for 15 years. Jay was passionate about his Harley and bow hunting. He enjoyed riding with his close motorcycle friends, and spending time with his brothers at the Circle B Hunting Club in Ohio. He was also a member of the Sandy Pond Sportsmen’s Club.

      Surviving, are his wife of 23 years, Michele Smith of Pulaski, his beloved pugs, Buddy, Odie and Daisy, sister Stefanie Smith Brietzke of Dansville, NY, cousins Kelly Labozetta and Michael Scott (Laura Gibbs) and Aunt Inga Jean Scott all of Pulaski and several nieces and nephews. Jay was predeceased by his parents, David and Betty Smith and his mother in-law, Linda Weckleman.

      Jay’s family would like to extend a special thank you to his oncologist, Dr. Gajra and his primary Dr. Sullivan, as well as the 6th floor nurses at Crouse for their exceptional care.

      A celebration of life will be held, 1 p.m., Saturday, January 20th at Ma Barker’s Tavern in Pulaski. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
