Otto Francis Jordal
Otto Francis Jordal, 89, of Madison Heights, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born Feb. 7, 1919, in Bay City, Mich., he was the son of the late Otto P. and Ethel Harris Jordal. He was a retired assembler with Carrier Corp. with 20 years of service. Mr. Jordal was a member of the Lynchburg Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry M. Jordal; sis, Lucille Willner; and brother, Leland Jordal.
Mr. Jordal is survived by one son, Edison R. Jordal and wife, Carolyn, of Sandy Creek, N.Y.; two daughters, Laurie A. Jordal and Helen J. Gray, both of Mexico, N.Y.; four stepdaughters, Rowena Boutell of Lacona, N.Y., Amy Boutell of California, Arlene Hartless of Monroe and Kay Boutell of North Carolina; one brother, Herman C. Jordal of Pulaski, N.Y.; numerous grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Toni Hartless, Kayla Bouchard and Cameron Bouchard; and his former wife, Mariel Mason Jordal of Monroe.
A memorial service and visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Lynchburg Church of Christ, with the Rev. Ray Eure officiating.
