- 80, of 1803 Co. Rte. 15, Lacona, formerly of Maple View, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, at home. He was born January 17, 1927, in Parma, NY, son of David and Jenny Bryant Stewart. He lived in Maple View until moving to Lacona in 2002. He was married to Dorice Tousant on May 12, 1984, at North Mexico Methodist Church. He was employed at Carrier Corp. in Syracuse for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of North Mexico Methodist Church, Cable Trail V.F.W Post 8534 Lacona, Robert Edwards Post 358 Pulaski and Sampson WW II Vets. He was predeceased by a sister, Ella Scott, and a stepson, Nelson Weed. He is survived by wife Dorice; a stepson, Jerome Weed of Watkins Glen; foster daughter, Donna J. Tousant of Sandy Creek; a sister, Rose Blount Otto of Winterhaven, FL; three stepgrandchildren; two nephews; and four nieces. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with Pastor David Snyder officiating.
