Services for Harold L. Hutchinson, 78, of South Albion Road, who died Sunday at Veterans Adminstration Medical Center, Syracuse, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Ellisburg.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St.
A native of Woodville, Mr. Hutchinson resided most of his life in the Altmar area. He retired in 1970 from Norman Brown Fuel Co. in Altmar. Mr. Hutchinson served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930s.
Mr. Hutchinson was an Army veteran of World War II and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart for his service in Italy. He was a charter member and former commander of Russell-Tryon Post 1435, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian; a son, Edward of Altmar; five daughters, Priscella Brown and Thelma Snyder, both of Mexico, Judy Sherman of Williamstown, Bonnie Hewitt of Topeka, Kan., and Linda Bouchard of Pulaski; a brother, Charles of Orwell; three sisters, Charlotte Stevens of Syracuse, Phena Pickard of Phoenix and Ethel Starring of Mottville; his stepmother, Leah Hutchinson of Pulaski; a half-brother, Robert Hutchinson of Camden; three half-sisters, Carol Gareau of Pulaski, Kathy Moody of Mallory and Jean Foster of Lacona; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
