    • Bernard M. Trumble Obituary
      Bernard M. Trumble, age 84, of Camden, NY passed away January 31, 2024, at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, NY. He was born in Altmar, NY on August 16, 1939, to Myrul and Gladys Trumble. Bernie graduated in 1957 from APW. He began employment as a laborer in construction, eventually being promoted to Superintendent for Lane Construction. He worked in several different states with Lane, often with his wife, Alice, as Office Manager. Bernie was a life-time member of NYS Trappers Assoc. and National Rifle Assoc. He was an avid sportsman, trapper hunter and fisherman. He was often called to solve beaver problems and his family and friends often called him “The Trapper” or “The Great White Hunter.” He was always available to lend a helping hand to friends and relatives, whatever the project entailed.

      He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice Wiggins Trumble, daughters, Cathy Trumble Cushman and Tami Trumble; grandchildren Natalie Curran, Alexander (June) Cushman, great grandchildren, Rhys & Rhiannon Curran, Grady Cushman and Conner Reese as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Frank and Spencer.

      Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 6th at the Abundant Life Church, 86 Mexico Street, Camden, NY with a spring burial in the Williamstown Fairview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
