- Vito W. Losito, 65, of County Route 23 died Sunday at his home after a long illness. A native of Syracuse, Mr. Losito also lived in East Syracuse before moving to Constantia 25 years ago. He retired in 1990 after 30 years as a bricklayer with several area construction companies. Mr. Losito was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley LaBeef; four sons, Nicholas and Clark, both of Mexico, Loren of Mapleview and Wayne of Constantia; four daughters, Shirlene Gosek of North Syracuse, Deborah Silvaggio of Cicero, Cheryl Tarasenko of Baldwinsville and Lisa Losito of Hastings; a brother, Thomas of Syracuse; a sister, Rose Nodecker of Syracuse; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home, 631 S. Main St., Central Square. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central New York.
