    • OBITUARY
      Malcolm B. Adsit, Adams Center, passed away Wednesday, April 10th at Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY. He was 91 years old.

      He was born at the family home in Redfield on May 12, 1932, the son to the late Winnie and Rena Balcom Adsit. He graduated from Sandy Creek School in 1950, following graduation he attended Morrisville Ag & Tech earning an electrical certificate.

      In 1951 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the USN Power DD839 during the Korean War. Malcolm was honorably discharge in 1955. While in the Navy he received 2 awards, the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal. Malcolm retired from Niagara Mohawk after 35 years of service in 1992.

      He married the love of his life, Anna Minosh Lee, on June 1, 1957, at the Sandy Creek United Methodist Church. Malcolm and Anna enjoyed their time traveling cross country visiting several interesting places. Anna passed away August 30, 2020.

      He is survived by his daughter Judith A. Fuller, Adams; granddaughter Candi Fuller (Scott Chamberlain), Georgia; sister Nancy Pratt, Orwell; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son Scott E. Adsit, grandson David R. Fuller, brother Gordon C. Adsit, and son-in-law Robert E. Fuller.

      Malcolm was a Mason for 70 years with 65 of those years at Pulaski #415 F&AM. He was also a Scottish Rite Mason; he belonged to the Tigris Shriners in Syracuse; and was a paid up for life member of the American Legion Don Rounds Post 586 in Adams.

      He enjoyed golfing on the Niagara Mohawk team, he was a huge SU Basketball Fan and was an avid reader. He was also a FCC licensed amateur radio operator and belonged to the Jefferson County Radio Amateur Club.

      Malcolm’s family would like to thank the South Jefferson Rescue Squad, Adams Center Fire Department and the Adams Fire Department for all their help when it was needed.

      A private burial in Redfield Cemetery will be held at the convienence of the family.
