Bettie Ellen Harvey 87, formality of Redfield, New York died peacefully at Samaritan Keep Home on April 6,2024.Bettie was born October 13, 1936, to Charles and Mary (Plopper) Stewart in Evans Mill, New York.Bettie went to school in Sandy Creek NY until she dropped out to marry her husband Vivian Martin Harvey on June 21,1953, she later returned and graduated in 1990 along side her first grandchildren. Bettie was a member of Redfield Fire Dept Auxiliary, VFW in Lacona, Queen Village Square dance club in Camden and Rebecca Lodge in Redfield, she work as cleaner for the Oswelewgois Club and Redfield Square in Redfield and in meat department for Super Duper in Camden and retire from driving school bus for SCCS in 1991 where she continued to sub until 2008.she had a ceramics shop Easy Going Ceramics, later turned it into diner Easy Going Diner in Redfield. She is predeceased by her husband Vivian Harvey, her daughters Ellen Louise and Leona May. Her parents Charles and Mary Stewart, siblings Jenny Wallis, Sally Wood, Penny Stewart, Gerald Stewart and James Stewart. Surviving is her sons Vivian Harvey Jr. Of North Carolina, Albert (Amy)Harvey of Dayton, Texas, Clinton Harvey of Syracuse, NY, Bethel Mothersell of Lacona NY, Jean(John) Smith of Pennellville, NY, And her 3 granddaughters in which she raised Heather (Norman) Hall of Richland, NY ,Angela (Joe) Pitcher of Pulaski, NY and Sharon(Carl) Hoyt of Bridgeport Ny.14 more grandchildren and serval great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.Siblings Shirley Roberts , Nancy Potts, Doris Greene , Kate Stewart of Georgia. She enjoyed spending time with family and camping, traveling, cooking, reading, knitting, crafts and making wood lawn ornaments. Celebration of life will May 4,2024 start at noon and services at 1pm at Redfield Fire Department in Redfield, NY With burial in Redfield, NY cemetery.
