She passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the age of 79. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Russell Morris of Guthrie, OK; son Randy Crawford of Pulaski, NY, predeceased by son Ricky Crawford; grandchild John Powers (Lilybeth Powers) of Elmendorf AFB, AK, great-grandchildren, Lilyannah & Natalia Powers, grandchild Jennifer Davis of Goodfellow AFB, Texas, great-grandchildren, Chloe & Jude Davis, brothers Charles Stewart (Jeanette), Larry Stewart (Patti), sisters Elsie Trey (Donald), Linda Sperling, predeceased by brother Milton Stewart. She has many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. She is also survived by a son of her heart from a previous marriage, Daniel Althouse. Sandra ran a rooming house and dedicated her time to helping others by taking in the homeless and helping them navigate social services assistance. She owned and operated a taxi service in Pulaski. She was also active in the Pulaski community participating in with the Commerce Committee in many events. She was a member of a square-dancing group called the “North Country Stompers.” They appeared on the TV show “Dialing for Dollars” and opened for Kitty Wells and Porter Wagner in Syracuse. She became a top seller of Princess house products earning a trip to Spain. She traveled all over the world and made frequent trips to Washington, DC. The picture, taken on a trip to Hawaii, embodies her adventurous spirit and never-ending quest to push boundaries. She loved to cook for friends and family holding many dinner parties and Sunday dinners. She had a gift for decorating and made a house feel a home. She was known as Sandy to one and all. Sandy owned Pulaski Lodge located on Main St, Pulaski, NY. Her door was always open with a pot of coffee ready. Many fishermen would stay with her during fishing season and would stay in touch because she had a way of making you know she cared. All of this is just a small part of what Sandra did during her lifetime. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, August 19th, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial at the convenience of the family. No funeral service will be held.
