      November 4, 2006 Richard P. "Dick" Monnat, 71, of 4062 Port St., Pulaski, NY, died Nov. 4, 2006, at University Hospital. Born June 19, 1935, in Watertown, son of Paul and Mary Radigan Monnat. Married Aug. 20, 1960, to the former Janice E. Colburn in Black River. Lived in Pulaski since 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1959. He was superintendent of the Department of Public Works for the village of Pulaski for 22 years, retiring in 1991. Honorary member of Ringgold Fire Dept. in Pulaski, Robert Edwards American Legion Post, coach of Pulaski Little League, and former councilman for the Town of Richland. Survivors: wife, Janice; daughter, Kathryn (Kevin) Laduc of Mexico; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Monnat and Scott (Susan) Monnat of Pulaski; seven grandchildren; a brother, William Monnat of Watertown; three sisters, Barbara Burns of Dexter, Joan Cole of Lowville and Mary Rasinski of Black River; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at Saint John's Church in Pulaski with Rev. John Canorro officiating. Burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Arrangements by Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Pulaski Little League or Ringgold Fire Dept.
