- Larry T. Ackerman Obituary
Larry T. Ackerman, age 65, life resident of Pine Meadows, passed away Thursday at his home. Larry was born June 26, 1958, in Oswego, the son of James and Rose Ray Ackerman. He attended APW Schools. Larry was a hard worker. He was briefly employed by Allied Chemical and spent most of his working years logging and also working construction and operating heavy machinery for VIP Construction. In his later years, Larry worked for Don Grant Printing. He enjoyed being outdoors and he loved to go 4-wheeling.
Surviving, are his siblings, Rosemary Reale of Syracuse, Joan (Ron) Johnson of Brewerton, James (Denise) Ackerman of Altmar, Judy Ann (Donald) Grant of Mannsville, ten nieces and nephews, David, Christine, Deb, Dan, Erin, Kimmie, Amy, Michelle, Matt and Mike, and 24 great-nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his nephew, Christopher and by his faithful canine companion.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 31st at the Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, 386 Pine Meadows Rd., Altmar, NY 13302 with a reception immediately following. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the funeral. Services are in care of Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
A memorial scholarship in honor of Larry will be established at the APW School District. In lieu of flowers, donations toward that scholarship may be made to Erin Nestico, 11031 Cobbville Rd., Adams, NY 13605.
