- Mona M Weaver, 92 of Sandy Creek passed away Saturday August 17, 2024 at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home in Watertown. Calling Hours will be Tuesday August 20th from 3-6 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 6 pm at Summerville Funeral Home. Mona was born April 18, 1932 in the Town of Richland to Lynn and Ida (Sturtevant) Cooley. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1949. She married Lewis Weaver June 19, 1954 in Cicero, NY. Mona had worked at P&C Grocery store in Pulaski for 14 years and also on the family farm in Sandy Creek. She enjoyed puzzles, embroidery and dancing. Surviving are her children Randy Weaver and Sally Weaver, several adopted grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis in 1994 and a son in law Stephen wood in 2024. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the 7th floor staff at Samaritan Keep Home for the special care and she was given while there. Donations may be made in her honor to either the Sandy Creek or Lacona Fire Departments.
