Edward James "Jim" Tyrrell, 68, of 36 Windswept Lane, Sandy Creek, died Tuesday. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Smith Technical High School in Syracuse and lived in Baldwinsville and Liverpool before moving to Sandy Creek in 1978. He retired in 2000 as owner and operator of Bon-Ton Glass Co. in Syracuse after 22 years and had worked at B&M Glass Co. for 18 years. He was a Boy Scout leader in Baldwinsville for many years. A son, James E., died in 1976.
Survivors: His wife of 48 years, the former Jeanne E. Harris; two daughters, Deborah J. Klotz of Sandy Creek and Sandra J. Krebs of Pulaski; a son, Michael L. of Sandy Creek; two sisters, Veronica Bitz of Baldwinsville and Patricia Kallfelz of Hastings; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Spring burial, Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
