Newspaper Obituary — Thursday, December 18. 1969 Pulaski Democrat — Pulaski, New York — Edwin Babcock Dies Suddenly —Edwin J. Babcock, 56, of Jackson Road, Orwell, died suddenly Thursday, December 11 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown. Funeral services were held Sunday, December 14 at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Nelson Reppert of the Park United Methodist church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Mr. Babcock was born June 16, 1913, the son of Eugene and Kate Babcock He was married on April 12, 1949 to the former Maria Ashby. They lived for a time in Phoenix, returning to Orwell later, where they have since resided. He was employed by Iroquois China in Syracuse until forced to retire because of ill health. Surviving are his wife, Maria Babcock; two brothers, Eugene Babcock of Fulton and Elton Babcock of Oswego, nieces and nephews.
