James N. MacBride, 92, formerly of Mattydale, passed away Wednesday at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester.
Jim was born in Richland, NY, and was a resident of Mattydale for 60 years before moving to Rochester in 2005. He was a tool and die maker at General Motors for 10 years and then was employed at General Electric for 29 years as a tool and die maker and later as a produceability engineer, retiring in 1975. Jim was past president of the G.E. Softball Assoc. and the G.E. Farrell Rd. Golf League. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mattydale, where he was a member of the church's Men's Club.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Florence Haas; a son and daughter-in-law, James N. Jr. and Ann Marie MacBride of Rochester; two grandchildren, Chuck (DeeAnn) MacBride of Denver, Colorado, and Kristen (Monte) Bradshaw of Hudson, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan MacBride, and Robert and Andrew Bradshaw.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 201 E. Molloy Rd. in Mattydale. Burial will follow in Collamer Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Krueger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Road, Route 11, Mattydale.
Friends are invited to a reception at the church following the graveside service.
