- Robert MacBride Obituary
Robert E. MacBride, 89, of East Syracuse, died Friday at James Square. Mr. MacBride was an Artist having worked for Syracuse China for 48 years. He belonged to and enjoyed playing in softball, golf, hockey, and bowling leagues. Archery was also an interest of Robert's. Robert was a Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy where he received the Silver Star. He is predeceased by a brother, James MacBride, Jr.; and three sisters, Ethel Kellogg, Lillian Kellogg and Evelyn Preske.
Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jeanne; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Thomas Matthews of Eastwood; son, John MacBride of East Syracuse; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens on Tuesday November 4 at 10 a.m.
Memorial donations in Roberts name may be directed to St. Joseph's Hospital, 301 Prospect Ave., Syracuse, NY 13202.
